Our hearts are heavy as we share that long-time team member Nina Pugliese has gone to be with her Heavenly Father following a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Henne’s chaplain Dan Valentine, who also knew Nina well, spoke to the team this morning calling her a “Warrior of Light” – a name that couldn’t be more fitting.
To know Nina was to love her, and over the past 46 years with Henne Jewelers, she left an impact on thousands of customers. Joining the team at the young age of 18 – fresh out of high school -- she learned the business under third-generation owner Jack Henne, who she often credited for teaching her everything she knew. He was like a second father to her.
Working alongside dear friend William Stanley and others, she rose to become one of our top sales associates as well as a talented designer and jewelry buyer. She held those titles for decades in the business. Even as we changed storefronts and evolved, Nina was there. She was a constant presence, always greeting you with a smile and dazzling you with her artistry. She had a knack for knowing which customers would want a specific piece of jewelry and often sold pendants right off her neck. Above all, she was a kind, genuine person of faith who loved helping her customers.
