Jewelry Appraisals

What to Know About Appraisals

An appraisal is a professional opinion of value for a specific purpose. There are different types of appraisals for different purposes, so it’s important to know why you need one. Appraisals are done for the following reasons:

  • Insurance Replacement Policies
  • Estate Appraisals
  • Dissolution of Marriage Appraisals
  • And more

(You also may just want to know what a piece of jewelry is worth.)

The price of gemstones and precious metals are always changing, sometimes by the hour. That’s why we recommend that you have your jewelry appraised every 3-5 years.
