Mack and Erica are an amazing couple who tied the knot in 2016. We are excited to share their story and to have been a part of it.
How they met:
Mack and Erica met 8 years ago while working at the Walnut Grill together when they were in college. He was a bus boy, and she was a hostess. They began hanging out, but Erica played hard to get for awhile. In a true gentleman fashion, he continued to pursue her, ultimately surprising her by showing up for her birthday in Philadelphia. At that point she knew he was determined and committed, and the rest is history.
About the Proposal:
Mack proposed to Erica in Cape May, NJ while on vacation with his family in 2015. He had wanted to propose on the beach, but it was raining and Erica was 'being stubborn'. Improvising, he knelt on one knee while at dinner in Congress Hall.
The Big Day:
Mack and Erica had a beautiful winter wedding on December 30, 2016. They always knew they wanted to have a winter wedding around Christmas and New Year's Eve, because it's a special time for them as a couple and they love to celebrate with friends and family.
The ceremony took place in St. Raphael parish in Morningside, and the reception was at The Renaissance Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Their photos were taken in Frick Park in Point Breeze, where the couple lives and walks their dog every day. All the wedding details hinted at the holiday spirit of old and an Age of Innocence vibe, but it was certainly a party! Everyone hit the dance floor before dinner was served, and they continued all night.
