Congrats to John and Elba on their engagement!
John and Elba met each other in NYC. Elba was visiting family. They met on the Internet and decided to go out with friends. A new adventure together began that day. Elba extended her flight and they had a long distance relationship for a year. They visited Perú and the US back and forth.
The Big Moment...
They decided to run the half marathon in Philadelphia. John started talking about how they were meant to be together near the finish line. Elba was speeding up. She didn't realize he was going to surprise her with a proposal. John asked Elba to marry him at the finish line of the Philly Marathon. There were hundreds of people around them. Elba was in shock. Of course, she said Yes! They also beat their marathon pace!
Looking Toward the Future...
Elba has now moved to the US. They plan to take their time before getting married. Because they work remotely, they want to live in different cities. They are also planning to run a marathon soon.
Why Henne?
John's father bought his mother's engagement ring from Henne's 42 years ago and the family knows Henne's is trustworthy and exceptional. William, who helped John design the ring for Elba, is the same specialist who has been consulting with John's parents for decades.
For Elba, John chose a three-stone style engagement ring with a princess-cut diamond for the center and round side diamonds, set in 14K white gold.
