How They Met:
Brian and Hayley met at Presbyterian College in a biology class. For some odd reason, they would always make sure they went up to get their folders at the exact same time (wink, wink). Brian quickly realized he wanted to date Hayley, but the two remained very good friends for the next three years, until they officially began dating. Brian is convinced it had something to do with the milkshake he brought her the night prior.
The couple knew very quickly that their relationship was ‘it’, and they began to talk about marriage and a life together.
Hayley graduated and moved to Macon, GA to begin law school at Mercer University while Brian finished college and found a job in Atlanta, which allowed him to stay close to home and Hayley.
From the time Brian knew what an engagement ring was, he wanted to purchase one from Henne Jewelers. (Henne has always been very special to Brian’s family. His mom's rings, sister's rings, sister-in-law's rings, and all the wedding bands for the men have come from Henne.) The couple ‘shopped’ in other jewelry stores to get a good idea of what Hayley liked, but Brian wanted to choose the ultimate ring from Henne.
The proposal:
Hayley has a reputation for trying to get any information that she can related to surprises, so a lot of planning went into the proposal. Hayley’s parents, sisters, and even grandparents were in on the surprise and helped plan while being very good secret keepers!
Brian planned to have Hayley’s grandfather ask them to come up for a birthday dinner, also planning to have Hayley’s twin sister meet them there. He asked Hayley if she wanted to walk leave a little early for the dinner and walk around Presbyterian College on the way there since it was on the way. He knew she’d want to, because the campus is her favorite place in the world. Brian knew without a doubt he had to propose to her there. Hayley’s twin sister hid in some bushes near her favorite building (literally) and captured the proposal.
After grabbing a few more photos, Brian and Hayley returned to Hayley’s house where both of their families had gathered from across the United States to celebrate their engagement with a party!
About the Wedding
Brian and Hayley are very excited to start planning their wedding and see where life takes them! They plan to tie the knot in about a year.

“Henne made the entire process so enjoyable and memorable. They were helpful from the beginning and made me feel very confident in everything. It is always nice when you know you are working with an expert who can explain things on a personal level. They explained all of the vocab words that an engagement ring entails and made sure to listen and take into account everything that I wanted this ring to be for Hayley. I was very thankful that Henne provided me with great quality pictures of different settings that had recently been done, which allowed me to quickly make my decision. They were extremely open to me adjusting the design as well. I'll always remember opening the box for the first time and seeing the completed ring. I will also add that the box is almost as nice as the ring!! I told Hayley that the ring was hers, but the box was mine! Henne is very special to me as a former Pittsburgh resident. Henne reminds me of my favorite city, my grandad and family. Henne is something that connects our family, and I’m so thankful for that.” - Brian
