From a Steelers AFC championship game to a Christmas Eve 'Love Actually' proposal, Ted and Susan have an amazingly sweet story to share.
How They Met:
Ted and Susan met in 2006 at a Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Championship game in Denver, Colorado via a mutual friend. They met and got to know each other while tailgating and became friends.
The proposal:
Fast forward 12 years later to Ted's sweet proposal. He consulted with Susan's three daughters on various ways to propose, and they all decided he should go with an adaptation of a famous scene from the movie "Love Actually" -- the one where Mark comes to Juliet's doorstep with words on poster boards professing his love to her. Susan's favorite night of the year is Christmas Eve, so naturally Ted couldn't imagine a better night to ask the woman he adores to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and her daughters were thrilled as well.
About the wedding:
Their wedding was held at a house they rented with Susan's family in Avalon, New Jersey. They enjoyed a beautiful backdrop of the bay at sunset on a gorgeous summer evening. As a bonus, there was a Full Moon after the sun went down. They spent the night dancing and are overjoyed to continue their lives together as husband and wife.
