Sometimes the best romances are the unassumingly beautiful ones. Case in point: Ashley and Derek’s Pennsylvania-based love story. Learn how they met, how he proposed, and admire Ashley’s dazzling Henne diamond.
How They Met:
Ashley and Derek’s story has been simple and sweet from the start. The couple first met during college at IUP. They hit it off (and the rest is history!).
The Big Moment:
Derek planned the engagement during the couple’s road trip from Pittsburgh to Nashville. On the way to Nashville, they stopped for a hike in Lexington, KY. While they sat at an underwhelming overlook taking in the view of the Kentucky river, Ashley said “we should take a picture.” She went to set her phone up on a rock and when she turned around Derek was down on one knee.
The proposal was very special and intimate as they were the only people on the hiking trail. Even though the view wasn’t what they expected, the moment was something they’ll never forget!
Future Plans:
Currently, the couple is counting down to their wedding on June 15, 2024. Ashley will be changing her last name from Rok to Rocks.
Why Henne?
When Ashley and Derek visited us to try on engagement rings they felt it was very apparent that they were going to be taken care of. Our sales associate Meghan Sanders made sure that the couple was able to get everything they wanted out of a ring.
