By Stephanie Desmond

If you have engagement on the brain, then tie up your running shoes, grab your significant other and brush up on your Pittsburgh trivia. The Henne Jewelers “Race for the Ring” is back!

Couples across the city are invited to participate in the treasure hunt on Sunday, June 22. Starting in Shadyside’s Mellon Park, teams will be given clues and challenges via text message. They will have three chances to answer questions correctly and receive a point. Incorrect answers will receive no penalty.

After two hours, the couple with the most points wins the grand prize: a diamond engagement ring valued at $9,000. The first and second runners up will also win a prize, and all participants will receive a $500 Henne Jewelers gift card.

Don’t wait until June, only 150 couples will get the chance to participate in this exciting event! Visit henneraceforthering.com to sign up via Facebook or email. Race for the Ring is open to all couples considering or about to be engaged.

The race was held in Downtown Pittsburgh in 2010 and 2011. The last winners, Mark Seneca and Nicole McQuay, were engaged at the awards ceremony after receiving their prize.
