Adorn your face with these beautiful Taxco sterling silver drop earrings, crafted by the famous Antonio Pineda circa 1948.
A bit of backstory:
Taxco is a Mexican town that was founded in 1529. It served as a hub for mining and silversmithing for centuries. A number of designers from the earlier half of the 1900s have pieces that are highly sought after, including Antonio Pineda. Antonio was a master silversmith and student of William Spratling; his career took off in 1944 when he was included in an exhibition at San Francisco's Legion of Honor and a single buyer purchased all 160 of his pieces. His jewelry continues to be sought after by estate and vintage jewelry lovers.
